Christmas Markets in the Derbyshire Peak District

There are some fantastic Christmas Markets to visit in the Derbyshire Peak District. It's the perfect excuse to book a lodge holiday and combine a relaxing break with a shopping extravaganza!  

Christmas at Chatsworth

The Chatsworth Christmas Markets run from the 9 November - 1 December. There are over 100 market stalls offering a wide range of Christmas gifts and decorations. There is a mix of gifts, crafts and food offerings from both local producers and the Chatsworth Estate.  

From the 9 November to the 5 January the House, Garden and Farmyard are decorated for Christmas and have a number of festive events happening including an illuminated walk through the gardens.

Haddon Hall Festive Market

The Haddon Hall mercatum winter artisan markets are hugely popular and this year the number of dates has been expanded. The event will run Wednesday to Sunday from the 13 November to the 15 December. Visitors can enjoy a wonderful range of food and gift choices available from local Artisans.  Marquees will be located both outdoors, within the courtyard, on the garden terraces and within some of the rooms of the magnificent Hall.  As always, this promises to be a unique shopping experience and a great opportunity to find something a little out of the ordinary for family and friends.

Matlock Victorian Christmas Market

The Matlock Victorian Christmas Market is returning from Friday 6 - Sunday 8 December.  The market is one of the largest in the region with over 200 stalls inside the marquees on Hall Leys Park.
 
Discover a winter wonderland with an incredible array of unique gifts, crafts and goodies for everyone on your Christmas list. It is also a food lover's paradise with a range of specialist foods and culinary delights! There is also entertainment for the whole family, from festive performances to fun fair rides.
