Events

The Peak District hosts a number of exciting events throughout the year. Local attractions such as the Heights of Abraham and Crich Tramway Museum host special events during the school holidays and the Chatsworth Estate a range of events throughout the year. There are also country fairs, food festivals, markets and Christmas themed evets to enjoy. We list events that are happening in the next couple of weeks below, but please ask reception if you have any questions.

Jubilee at Gulliver's Kingdom

Matlock Bath

Join the Easter Bunny and Candy Crew for mad-cap antics and candy activities this April at Gulliver's. Discover Lollipop Trees, Colossal Candy Canes and take some Sweet Selfies along the way.

Easter at the Heights

28th March 2026 - 12th April 2026
Heights of Abraham

Take part in the free children's trail to find the hidden Spring Things around the estate. Look for the giant egg, daffodils and Easter bunny! Complete the activities on the sheet and enter the competition to win a family membership. You can also meet the Wombles on the 4th, 5th & 6th April
11th & 12th April.  Find both of them at the Meet & Greet area near the WOMBLE MANIA exhibition.

Easter at Peak: Spring into the Wild Trail

Peak Wildlife Park

Hop into adventure this Easter with our Spring into the Wild Trail! Pick up your trail map and explore the park as you search for activity stations along the way.

At each stop you’ll discover a fun challenge, puzzle, or hands-on craft activity inspired by the amazing animals around you. Complete the task, tick the box on your trail sheet, and continue your journey through the wild!

Trail maps are £4 each and include all the craft materials along the way — plus you get to keep everything you make! Once you’ve completed the trail, head to the shop to claim your special prize

Can you find every station and finish the trail? There’s only one way to find out… let the adventure begin!

Easter Egg Trail at Carsington

Hop along for some waterside fun at Carsington Water with a classic Easter egg trail around Stone’s Island. It’s an easy, open walk — ideal for scooters, bikes, or little legs that need space to roam.

Join us for an egg-citing adventure! The Easter Bunny has hidden a trail of eggs around Stone's Island!

Collect your trail sheet: Pick up your trail sheet from Reception and embark on a fun-filled hunt.Egg hunt: Follow the route, find the eggs, and answer the questions along the way.Claim your prize: Once you've completed the trail, head back to the Café, Restaurant, or RSPB shop to receive your special prize!

Easter Adventure Quest

Bolsover Castle

This Easter holiday, head to Bolsover for a fun-filled adventure quest! Follow the Easter trail, hunt for eggs and answer questions along the way to earn a delicious chocolate reward.

Easter Egg-stravaganza

Matlock Farm Park

Come on down for some egg-citing, memory making fun at Matlock Farm Park. ‘Meet the Cade Lambs’, learn more about them, watch them being bottle fed and get up close for gentle petting.

Join in with an Easter Treasure Trail for mini-prizes and have a free bet on our sheep and ferret races. Of course, there’s all the usual animal and playtime fun of the farm park with wallaby encounters, small animal petting, meerkat talks, children’s pony rides* and more, plus the UK’s largest jumping pillow and fantastic undercover and indoor mullti-zone play facilities too.

Easter Eggstra

National Tramway Museum

Eggsplore our eggciting Easter Trail with our story book egg characters and win an Easter themed prize* (*additional charge for trail of £2 per child).

Join in with the other fun seasonal activities egg rolling, Easter Show, face painter and make your own Easter chicken or bunny hat. Keep an eye out for our wandering story book characters and of course Mr. Bunny himself.

Children could even dress up as their favourite story book character.

Easter in the Farmyard

3rd April 2026 - 6th April 2026
Chatsworth

Enjoy egg hunting and Easter-themed crafts at the Farmyard, where you can also meet the friendly animals, including horses, pigs and goats. Take the secret tunnel to the adventure playground, where you can climb the tall towers, zip line, slide, and even dig in the giant sandpit.
