Santa Special Cruises

Santa Claus will be cruising the Chesterfield Canal on the John Varley narrowboat, welcoming children and adults alike. There is a present for every child and a mince pie and a drink for every adult.

Board the John Varley at Tapton Lock, on the Tesco roundabout in Chesterfield and meet Santa on-board.

Cinderella Pantomime

Boxing Day Raft Race

26th December 2018 – 26th December 2018

Matlock to Cromford

The Raft Race from Matlock to Cromford will be bigger than ever. Derbyshire Association of Sub-Aqua Clubs organise the Matlock Raft Race in aid of the RNLI (lifeboats). In over 47 years they have raised more than £200,000. The race usually starts at 10am in Matlock with the finish line at Cromford Meadows around 1pm (ish).
